Does The 2021 Kia Sorento Have a Head-Up Display?

One thing Kia has been striving to do in its newer models is to make the interior look luxurious. While also maintaining a fairly low price point in comparison to their competition. The 2021 Kia Sorento is no different it comes with many luxurious features. Such as an impressive interior, a 12 speaker bose system, and more. But, does the 2021 Kia Sorento have a heads-up display? And if so how much do you have to spend to get it?

No, a Head-Up Display is Not Available

While a heads-up display is offered on the 2021 Kia Telluride the North American Kia Sorento does not appear to offer it. When the 2021 Kia Sorento was launching in North America many in the press were initially saying it was indeed included. However, this feature does not appear on any of the official Kia Spec sheets nor is there a space in the dash for one to appear.

The official spec list (broken down by trim, and feature set) I re-uploaded this file so you could easily read it. Furthermore, the vehicle listing on the Kia.com website does not list this feature as being present on any trim nor option.

2021 Kia Sorento No HUD
As you can see, there is no space in that dash for the HUD to show.

Why Does The 2021 Sorento Not Have A HUD?

Quite frankly the biggest issue on the Kia Sorento is its third row. The Sorento while being smaller than the Kia Telluride directly competes with it. While it is indeed smaller its only around $4,000 less when comparing the top trims. It’s too close in price point while being a bit smaller on the inside. The problem boils down to Kia has to leave something for their flagship or else the Sorento will cannibalize sales from the Telluride.

There are other strange features that are cut from the Sorento but we will go over those in another post. So the answer to whether or not the Kia Sorento has a heads-up display the answer is no.

Also for the DIY crowd while you could technically add this feature using an after-market kit I would highly suggest not doing this for a variety of reasons notably that the quality of such products tends to be pretty poor at best.

I love cars, but I am very much a pragmatist that is why I created Daily Driver Tips where I understand for most people safety and a good infotainment system matters more than horsepower.

Have your say!
