Does The 2020 Hyundai Palisade Have Power Folding Mirrors In The U.S?

2020 Hyundai Palisade Side Mirrors

This is the most frequently asked question I get about the 2020 Hyundai Palisade and it is one that a lot of miss-information has been thrown around. The Hyundai Palisade does come with Power Folding mirrors in both the Korean Spec for the vehicle and the International version.

However, the U.S version sadly does not come with power folding mirrors which is a bit of a weird omission from the U.S market. Now, to clarify the mirrors are heated, have the turn signal stock, blind-spot monitoring, etc. Yet the United States model does not come with the power-folding option for when you park the vehicle.

Now, this is compounded by a confusing software mistake within bluelink.

The above image makes you think the mirrors will unfold (after folding automatically) and turn on the light when you approach the vehicle. For the American Model this is a bug in the software they will not unfold but the light will still turn on if you enable the feature.

To Recap

No, the united states spec of the vehicle does not include power-folding mirrors the sister vehicle the Kia Telluride does come with this feature. Also, if you run across the above image in your settings don’t fret as its simply a bug and the feature does not exist on the model. If you have any questions feel free to ask in the comments section below, and if you are an owner make sure to leave a review of the Palisade to help out future potential buyers!

  1. Can the 2020 Palisde limited get a folding mirrors installed?

    • Not easily I guess if you found the Korean model of them assuming the wiring is in place, and they don’t remove the software related features. TBH it’s not worth the effort if power-folding mirrors are a make it or break it feature checkout the Kia telluride.

  2. The fact that the 2020 Hyundai Palisade does not have folding side view mirrors prevents me in considering the purchase of this vehicle.
This should be a fix that should be made in future models produced for the United States as this is a feature that is available in other countries at the present time.

    • I will say while I do wish they were on the U.S model, we do get things that aren’t / weren’t in other countries as well. If power folding mirrors are make it or break it for you John I recommend looking at the kia telluride. It’s a different style (more rugged instead of luxurious) but the same general feature set is there will offer similar ride quality as well!

  4. This is sad. Most vehicles come with leather seats and folding mirrors and the Palisade SE and SEL do not come with either unless you have it installed. The money they are asking for is ridiculous and its just a basic car with a few more safety features. Not worth the money. I will stick with my Cadillac models.

    • Well hyundai’s packaging is a little odd in the palisade. The sel with premium gets you leather seats. TBH the sel should come standard with leather seats and add the second sunroof for the rear passengers in the premium package.

But nobody should ever get a base spec sel. It’s better to get SEL to “have it your way”.

Still a great car hoping we can see some better packaging in 2022 would also like to see Hyundai add power folding mirrors. Not because I personally have a need for such a feature but others seem to need it.

  5. I own a 2020 Palisade. It’s an excellent SUV. Like with any vehicle there are some minor things..No power folding mirrors…you can hear wind above 70 mph. The radio control knobs seem a little too far to reach. But the vehicle is a pleasure to drive..Comfort mode is smooth. Sport mode gives you a little more power for highway driving. The smart cruise control is the best feature. I drove 400 miles without touching the brakes. And gas mileage is pretty good…nearly 400 miles on one tank.
